Looking for a Fight? Channel that Rough Rider Mars-in-Scorpio Mojo into Demanding Clarity and some Pre-Eclipse House Cleaning
As today’s Full Moon in Virgo emphasizes the devil in the details, we’re encouraged to go within and clarify our emotional state (pretty intense these days with Mars slowly moving through those late Scorpio degrees, eh?) while being directed to tend to the literal and figurative house cleaning that’s been on back-burners since the holidays.
The Virgo/Pisces axis is about many things: health, healing, routine, labor, co-workers, helpers, service and discipleship to name a few. In Washington DC, the Full Moon chart highlights a strong Chiron-Jupiter opposition on the MC/IC axis. Is healing possible between the two parties? (Hope springs eternal) Or is this configuration descriptive of the upcoming senate vote against labeling GMO’s in our food?
This axis also represents a turning point in our charts. Where 3-4 degrees of Pisces/Virgo falls in your chart points to where the action is along the aforementioned lines. The Virgo Moon helps us to focus, streamline, and eliminate what isn’t essential.
The Pisces Solar Eclipse (March 8) is but two weeks away. As with any eclipse, it’s out with the old, in with the new. However, as we prepare to unload that which no longer serves us, we must insist that cooler heads prevail: With Mars slowly cutting his way through those last Scorpio pre-retrograde shadow degrees (Mars enters Sagittarius on March 5 and turns retro on April 17), we must not give into fits of rage and refrain from throwing our “babies” out with the bath water. (More on Mars Retrograde, April 17-June 30, in a later post).
Mars in Scorpio is brutal, impatient, relentless and has little mercy for anyone or anything. In New York City these past few weeks, subway and street slashings have been on the rise and everyone seems to be on edge. This sharp MARS energy could be used (by the media) to cut through the crap in this heated election cycle to report more on the FACTS and candidates’ records. Here, Amy Goodman sheds light on how the mainstream is getting it wrong.
Antonin Scalia March 11, 1936 – Feb 13, 2016
I was not a fan.
Although well-liked by many of his foes, Scalia’s rulings on Bush V. Gore and Citizen’s United are enough to make any thinking and feeling humanist barf. But there is some interesting astrology here to observe:
First, is how two Pisceans, Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg (March 15 1933) with such opposing political leanings were such good friends. I’ve seen this so many times- in friendships, marriages and all sorts of set-ups: The two fish swimming in opposite directions and co-existing. Truly fascinating.
Secondly, is that just as Johnny Carson served a full 29 and a half years on the Tonight Show, Scalia served a full Saturn cycle on the Supreme Court. He was sworn in with Saturn in Sagittarius on Sept 26, 1986. He died on the Saturn-return of of that swearing in.
What was happening for and to YOU in late 1986-early 1987?
